How It Works

Four simple steps — from sponsoring a challenge to your recipient choosing their reward.

1

Sponsor

Choose a sponsorship amount ($25, $50, or $100) and set the fitness challenge. Pay once via Square — fees shown upfront.

2

Share

You get a unique QR code and short link. Share the challenge by text, email, or print it in a card — however feels right.

3

They Accept

The recipient scans the QR, downloads the free Gfit app, and accepts the challenge. Takes less than a minute.

4

Complete & Choose

GPS or step tracking logs every workout. Once they've hit the goal, they choose gift cards from hundreds of top brands — one, or split across several — delivered instantly in the app. Or they can pay it forward as a new challenge gift for someone else.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about Gfit Cards.

Every challenge is open for 12 months — plenty of time to get moving. If it isn't completed in that window, we automatically refund you the full reward value to your original payment method (the service and processing fees, which cover running Gfit, aren't refundable). Either they earn the full reward, or you get it back — we never keep it for ourselves.
12 months from the date of purchase. The challenge goal and specific distances are shown in the app when the recipient accepts — we design challenges to be achievable, so the goal is to motivate, not intimidate.
Nope — the Gfit app supports both GPS-tracked outdoor runs and step-counted indoor workouts (treadmill, track, etc.). As long as they're moving, it counts toward the challenge.
After sponsoring, you'll receive an email with a unique QR code and short link (like gfit.cards/c/abc123). Forward the email, screenshot the QR, or print it in a card — share it however feels right.
Hundreds of top brands — Amazon, Target, Starbucks, restaurants, gaming, and more. Once the challenge is complete, they pick their brand in the app and the gift card is delivered instantly. They can even split the reward across up to five brands. Earned rewards never expire.
Instead of a gift card, someone who completes a challenge can spend their earned reward on a brand-new challenge gift for someone else. The full reward carries over — the sender just pays the service fee for the new gift (shown before checkout), and can add to the gift to make it bigger. The next person earns it the same way, and if they don't finish within 12 months, the forwarded value returns to the sender as an earned reward (anything they added comes back to their card). One gift can keep a whole chain of people moving.
Because the person you're sponsoring deserves the full reward you intended. A $50 challenge always means a $50 reward — our fee is charged to you upfront, and nothing is ever deducted from what they earn.
